I’m not sure how much more they could delay recording, as Elfman starts his Nightmare concerts at the end of November and performs right through the first week of December.
I figured this would happen eventually as the domain has been registered forever.
I’ll have to hurry up on my redesign of this site which has probably taken just as long…
Now on Spotify:
Ah, you beat me to it. It’s a significant portion of the cue as well.
Yes, MIB INT, a few seconds of which orchestra contractor Gina Zimitti shared in an Instagram story.
Hmmm, nothing on .ca yet. I recently picked up the song track album for completion sake. This would be a more worthwhile addition.
Yeah, this was a surprise. It literally premieres tomorrow (March 9!)
Wish the recent Elfman London recordings were closer-mic’ed. I prefer being in the orchestra rather than outside of it.
Lots of Prokofiev Romeo & Juliet too. Haven’t really picked out the main theme yet, but so far the score is a romp.
Just finished this up tonight, thanks for sharing the link before I could! Perhaps Elfman’s best interview? It seems like he could have talked forever.
Looks like Dominic Lewis is scoring this?
Isn’t that how it always works? 😉
I hear Elfman vocals at the beginning of that trailer.
CD is going out of print…
Vinyl coming from Mondo October, 2018:
I think what you’re hearing is the Schifrin that Elfman worked into his own score?
My Cd shipped yesterday. It seems like a long Elfman drought is finally coming to an end!
Nice. Isn’t the theatrical version scored with music from the first film? Hard to tell with all the sfx.April 13, 2018 at 1:43 am in reply to: Do You Believe in Ghosts? (Mali Elfman short, 2017) #98597
Beautiful short film. Thanks for posting!
I’ve downloaded the movie from iTunes in the hopes of syncing up and pumping up “The Tunnel Fight” full length version in Premiere, but dammit if they haven’t hacked it to shreds, rearranged things and tracked in different music. The full length cue contains more music than what’s in the sequence, and the sequence seems to have at least two inserts from the score that don’t seem to be on the album. It’s turned into a real nightmare of a project.
Where’s “Mother Russia”? 😉
So much burgundy on that panel!
Looking at it now, surprised at the number of scoring session photos!
Individual tracks do not indicate what contains “additional music”, but my guess is the Zanelli contribution was at least the use of “Krytpon Theme” from Hans’ MAN OF STEEL, which is not on the disc.
Anyone get their CD copy yet? Mine is sitting in my mailbox. Can’t wait to get my hands on it (yes, I still love this score.)
Well that’s the great thing about being a Danny Elfman fan in 2017 — you can be satisfied by JUSTICE LEAGUE or THE CIRCLE. Either way everyone wins. 🙂
