Guestyes, well, until the movie is out and old, red dragon shall be the topic of conversing. i was in neeeed to see a new topic, so leftbrain said, “well, if your so desperate, make one yourself!” so i succumbed to the voices and created this.
first segment of disscusion (by the way, you are free to ignore any of these in you reply. go on..) the best (or funniest) track names on the red dragon soundtrack.
– we’re different (it relates to all of us, don’t you agree?)
– enter the dragon (bruce lee comes to mind.)
– tiger balls (*snort)
– love on a couch (well, nevermind.)
– he’s back! (or is it, “he’s ba-ack..”?)next segment, while listening on my headphone, i was able to hear a soloist (of some wind instrument) taking breaths between notes. i thought it to be very beautiful in it’s simplicity, unlike the girl who says, “oooo sorry” in MIIB which i found to be more perverse.. damn that red dragon-boy.
finally, and least importantly, the ehanced cd’s features. well, I thought the set up with the bars opening and closing was a bit cheap, but the features were pretty nice. they’ll probably all be on the DVD, too. question1: is brett ratner a homosexual (he IS directing superman after all..) or is he just a director? I rather like his taste in music. same with sir anthony. question2: where is our boy’s goatee and who gave him permission to remove it? yes, i know it was gone all this year, but halloween’s comin’ up and all!
lexi: i feel better now. thankyou, doctor.

Guestsome noises of the orchestra and instruments just can’t be deleted (it’s a part of the charm).
well, all I can say about red dragon is that it is really the most interresting score of Danny this year. Spider-Man was great though not always subtile, he made MIIB for fun ; but this score is technical, fascinating and with a real psychotic aspect (God, the child-theme is freaken me out !). Lot of Dolores Claiborne and Sleepy Hollow. The strings are very nervous and I like that (Main Titles, He’s Back, etc).
The interviews are great (too short of course). I especially enjoy the few words of Hopkins ; very philosophical…
