… but in the movie The Break-Up (which I thought was a surprisingly good and even pretty dark anti-romantic comedy featuring Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston) Steve Bartek did the orchestrations in the very nice soundtrack by the amazing Jon Brion. Brion is currently my favourite movie composer after Elfman, and it’s nice to see him in such good company. Too bad I can’t find a soundtrack album anywhere. Any of you knows if this was actually released?

Thanks for theat piece of information – I’d have never guessed. I love Brion! – Eternal Sunshine and Magnolia were amazing soundtracks, plus he’s such a fantastic producer as well. I’ll have to look around if that score is available anywhere…

If anyone likes imaginative, beatlesesque rock, they should definitely check out his solo album: http://cdbaby.com/cd/jonbrion
