ParticipantAnyone upset about Elfman not doing Spiderman 3? I hope he changes his mind, I was really looking forward to his newest Spidey music.

ParticipantMaybe Mr. Keaveney knows more about that…

ParticipantMr. Keaveney? Sorry, but I ‘m in the dark. What does Mr. Keaveney have to do with Danny Elfman not writting the Spiderman 3 score?

ParticipantMr. Keaveney is the person who you just responded to, and this is very old news. Upsetting… but not new.
But I (and I’m sure many others) share your pain heavily. But acceptance is the first step to happiness… and now, the healing can begin…

ParticipantThis is another opportunity for me to bitch about how upset I am over the whole fiasco. I want him to score the movie! I don’t want him to score Charlotte’s Web, I want him to do Spider-Man! Waaaaaaaah! Although I will say that based on the photos we’ve seen, I really am looking forward to seeing “Meet the Robinsons” and hearing what he comes up with musically.

ParticipantCharlotte’s Web is just his cover. It’s not one or the other… right? My point being that it wouldn’t be a conflict as far as time?
Basically, what I’m getting at is, I’m still holding out hopes of him being there for Spider-Man 3. Slim hopes…. but hopes all the same. Especially now that Sandman has officially been cast. I’d of loved to have heard a Sandman score by Elfman:(

ParticipantWell, his name’s already on the poster for Charlotte’s Web, and he talked about being on board months ago. That comes out next summer, and Meet the Robinsons comes out about 6 months later. There’s certainly time for Danny to fit Spidey 3, with a May 2007 release date, in his schedule, but on the Charlie red carpet he said he was replacing Spider-Man with another Spider, Charlotte’s Web. Who knows, but odds are with the anger he has towards Sam, he’s not going to do it. It breaks my heart.
