I’m not sure why you posted this once. The link to the page doesn’t work.
Yes it does work, just having some fun with Ryan.

I’ve wanted to hear a all-out Jazz score from Danny (the closest being his score for Midnight Run and the bluesy Hot to Trot that is more zydeco than jazz), but I’m just wondering if he will incorporate the songs in the underscore?

Unless this is a favor, I don’t really understand why he is doing it, but some Jazz from Danny is mighty tempting.

Wierd…but cool. Thanks for the link to the info, Ryan!

-E (who does not like straight-up jazz all that much…she does like zydeco a whole lot, though. But really, she’s a classical-and-20th-century-wind-band nerd at heart…)

I’m thinking that it will be a jazz-influenced score with orchestral sweetners. Hopefully, since it is being recorded in London and there will be no re-use fees, some record company (Varese Sarabande or Sony Classical) will pay Elfman to write and record music ‘inspired by’ what he has written for the actual film. It has happened before (Elfman’s Planet of the Apes and Goldsmith’s Fierce Creatures).

Mmmm…..sounds like too much work though. This movie comes out on Christmas, I think 15 minutes is all were going to get. Perhaps a suite will be included on the soundtrack.

I, for one, am looking forward to this….

I’m listeing to RED DRAGON right now. Love it.
