which do you think is elfman’s most christmas-oriented score or better yet which do you think sets the mood perfectly during jesus’ bday:

    1- edward scissorhands
    2- family man
    3- batman returns
    4- nightmare before christmas
    5- scrooged (8 minutes i know)
6- sleepy hollow (only some tracks but especially track 18)

Honestly it’s a toss up for me between Edward Scissorhands and Nightmare. To me at least those movies and there music is what christmas is all about….and jesus of course……..now i’m gonna get struck by lighting..great….The perfect songs to play while your driving in your car (just to drive…get away yah know) Is from edward: 1.ice dance 2.End credits (don’t really know titles..i could be right) and 3.Main Titles….yeah….i’m done babling…..lol

Can we please not asociate Elfman with Jesus… Some people enjoy his music even without the association with this religion. I’d like to think of it as Winter/Holiday music.

I prefer “Batman Returns” Main Titles. That’s nice!

Jeremy: It’s the whole “Winter” thing that I think they are going for, not the “Danny Elfman is a hardcore christian because he wrote so many christmas movie scores” thing, so don’t get your panties in a twist.

Knight (I don’t even thing Elfman is a christian, not like I care, but now you can all yell at me for it)

“Danny Elfman is a hardcore christian because he wrote so many christmas movie scores” <

not what I said Knight. And that’s why I even made sure I said “Winter/Holiday music”. So when you want to be smart and start stuff over the internet, make sure you get your information correct. I was actually speaking towards xmasgrl83 when she said, “To me at least those movies and there music is what christmas is all about….and jesus of course.” That didn’t bother anyone else?

I just think The Nightmare Before Christmas is saucy wintery music–but then again, I’m one of those fruitcakes who actually likes the cold!

(And I’m not a religious fanatic, but if other people want to associate whatever kind of music with whatever they want, I don’t tend to mind–even if it is religion)!

Jeremy: Dude, it was a joke. And if someone associates christmas with Jesus, you shouldn’t get so upset, BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT IT’S FOR!!! In any case, have a happy holiday, and don’t choke on your eggnog.

Knight (Really, you need to figure out that some people are just really sarcastic)

i dont understand why people prolong idiotic debates like that, y cant we just dicuss the elf w/out any negative distractions. i think everyone has to listen to bill murray’s speech at the end of scrooged agen just to see how pleasant this time of the year really is .thank u.

I’d say I like Nightmare for Christmas. It should definately be on every year just like Rudolph and all of the others. The networks could probably turn that movie into a classic.

Robert: Good question, but I usually feel the natural urge to defend myself when someone decides to be snobby.

Knight (Can’t we all just get along?)
