GuestJust bought MIB2 soundtrack, so far I like Worm Lounge #1 and #2, Titles and Titles Revisited, The Light…
On another topic, I bought Mission: Impossible several days ago. When I first listened to Train Time… It’s the same theme with POTA Main Title right? Anyway, POTA is awesome!

Guestit does sound similiar but im not too sure if its the same theme. i thought zoomA and Uh-Oh! were incredible tracks as well.

GuestThe opening 12 notes of Train Time are indeed replicated near the end of the Main Title track from POTA. But that’s okay…the Men In Black theme was first heard as a brief motif in “To Die For.” And the bass line in the Main Titles of “Batman Returns” is markedly similar to the melody for “Mars Attacks!”
Sort of like what Horner does…
I’M KIDDING! DON’T EXECUTE ME!!

GuestWhy should you be kidding? That’s a good interpretation…might even be true.

GuestI’m not sure we should insult horner ’round here. cuz everytime we do, someone comes out and insults elfman. I know we are superior to those insects who come here just to insult elfman, so let’s not stoop to their leval. horner is pretty boring though. [what did I just say??] sorry.
I definatley love the worm lounge tracks the best. they’re really fun and the chorus where the girl goes, “ooh. sorry,” is really strange but sounds cool in a way.
I think I heard a bit of the Dead President’s little synth humming during the “sleuthing” track on MIIB. it wasn’t the same note arrangment, but I’ve only heard that instrument twice: MIIB and Dead Presidents.
lexi: the revenge of the half-sister’s 2nd cousin.. who is also her husband! (lady screams)

GuestI don’t know a damn thing about Horner, so I kinda think all the banter’s funny. And the Men in Black II soundtrack is rather snazzy–of course!

GuestBack to the subject, my favorite track is “The Light.” It seems to me Danny did more for the movie than it deserved.

GuestMy favorite track is “Customs”. Yeah yeah, I know, it’s short. But the percussions sound so good in this track, especially towards the beggining, that playing it over and over again makes this cue quite a long one after all.

GuestThe Light! Yes
About the percussions in the track Customs, I think it is the sound of “gamelan” from Java! Viva Indonesia!
That reminds me, I remember hearing gamelan used somewhere in the first MIB

GuestThe best track in my opinion is THE REAL STORY. Just a wonderful track.
