ParticipantIt was after watching “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” for the third time tonight that I realized they could release a whole second CD full of music that was in the movie but not on the soundtrack. My favorite moments are A) when Charlie finds the money and the ticket,
the glass elevator journey through the factory, and C) young Willy Wonka’s “worldwide tour.” Any other favorites?
And here’s hoping for a special-edition CD!

ParticipantI liked the music when Charlie found the ticket also.

ParticipantOnly the “2001” music, really. Unless I missed some other music listings in the credits?

Participant2001 music definately. I loved the music when Charlie found the money and then the ticket… and then he ran home.
And while we’re on it, I loved the trailer music that was supposedly done by JNH.

ParticipantElfman wrote the _entire_ score and songs for the film. There were pieces that were pre-existing which were used (the 2001 piece, et al), but NONE of the music recorded specifically for the film was not by Elfman.
Also, JNH did _not_ write original music for the trailer. Some trailers did use JNH music from PETER PAN, however.

ParticipantThat’s the issue many have had lately — that music is not from Peter Pan. People including myself have listened through that score and that music is not to be found. If anything, it’s music that may have been in the movie and not on the CD, but I know I can’t bring myself to watch that movie again just to find that music. The search continues…

That’s a shame, I thought he composed the Macarena. If he didn’t, I don’t see why I still worship the guy !

ParticipantI once again want to stress how awesome I think the heavy portion of “The Golden Ticket/Factory” is, from 0:50 to 1:07. It’s the part that’s included in the soundclip on this site. It’s still my favorite part of the entire score. I was just listening to it over and over and I can’t get over how good it is!

ParticipantThe part of the score that evokes the most emotion out of me musically is the closing moments of the Main Titles cue. Before I had the score… even before Ryan posted clips on the site, I just listened to that segment over and over again from the Movie site. it’s phenominal. 4:16 – 4:42. I think it’s in the media section of the offical site. Listen to it over and over… it’s extremely beautiful.
Brilliant stuff.
