There is a poll going on right now at filmscoremonthly.com that asks you to vote for your favorite director/composer collaborators. And although I doubt the legitimacy of the voting (I think a group has voted much more than once) the collaboration between Tim Burton and Danny Elfman seems to be the most celebrated, with over four thousand votes and eighty percent of the total tally. Even though it might be the result of a few fanatical fans, I’m glad to see that other people recognize them as the greatest modern movie/music team (I also think they are the second greatest composer/director team ever, just behind Federico Fellini and Nino Rota.).
The film score monthly polls are always being sabotaged by someone.
Glad to see it’s and Elfman fan.
I don’t like polls and lists and such. I just know what I like, and that’s all that really matters to me.
