this is very strange…i just received a ‘for your consideration’ DVD of Red Dragon and the score CD from Universal Pictures in the mail. the package contained a form letter from Brett Ratner addressed: ‘Dear Film Score Monthly reader’. did anyone else who subscribes get this? i can only guess that it is for Oscar nominations, but why they would send it to FSM readers is beyond me…
not that i’m complaining… ; )

The short of it is that FSM handed over a list of their U.S. subscribers to RED DRAGON director Brett Ratner so that he could share his enthusiasm for Elfman’s score. Ratner is a film score fanatic like us.
Now, if he loves film music and Danny Elfman, I’d like to hear from him…
