GuestHello everyone.
I was wondering : in my CD collection, I have one of the Oscar Nomination issued promo only CD’s for Danny’s great work on “Good Will Hunting”.
I remember paying quite a lot for this when I purchased it in London (UK) some years ago. My question is this : is this a rare Elfman item, or are they more common than the official promo text suggests?
Any info on this would be great. Just curious ! Thanks,

GuestThe GOOD WILL HUNTING disc is a little tricky to get, but certainly not impossible. Being a promo, it’s not available in stores, of course, but can be snagged off ebay for not too much money. I think Screen Archives was selling it at one point too.
There are a few different versions available, but the main difference is that some have the Eliot Smith song and some do not. The music itself is good, and runs around 26 minutes in length, including pretty much everything heard in the film. The best cues, in my opinion, are the two already available on the commerical album, but there are some excellent moments to be found throughout the whole album.
Bottom line: don’t break the bank to get it, but if you find it for a reasonable price, it’s a pretty decent buy.

GuestI found it for $4.99 not too long ago in a used cd shop. Pretty good deal for something that people have payed $200 to get.
