ParticipantHey Elfman fans! I thought you might be interested in signing my Petition to get the cartoon FAMILY DOG (1987), released onto DVD.
This 1987 cartoon, which was part of the “Amazing Stories” television series, was a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that combined Burton’s penchant for German Expressionism tinged with Suburban Grotesquerie & Brad Bird’s amazing ability for cinematic animation, concise storytelling, authentic detailed body movement & closely observed humour. Elfman did the wonderfully vivacious, atmospheric score.
Universal currently “does not have any plans on releasing this title”. Even though they’ve released Season 1 of “Amazing Stories” on DVD (the Family Dog episode appears in Season 2).
It just takes a second & might just help get it released. And don’t forget to spread the word to friends & family! I need your help!

You can also write Universal (who own the Rights) personally: http://www.universalstudios.com/homepage/html/contact_us/contact_form.cgi?email_id=10
Thank you for your time!
