ParticipantHi my name is Haley, I have always loved the music Danny Elfman has made although I was never really *into* it as much as I am now, I didn’t even know who Danny Elfman was when I first saw Edward Scissorhands but I fell in love with the music. I have kind of recently turned 14 (March 5) and I am on a search for “Music For A Darkened Theatre”, I am in Canada so if anyone can help me with that I would really appriciate it. I also really love Oingo Boingo, love their style and of course the vocals are amazing!
If I do anything wrong/bad/not right (bad) just let me know I am glad to fix it.
Oh and I have been lurking here for a few weeks before I joined so i think I may have the hang of things.

KeymasterHi Haley. I live in Canada as well. I know what you mean about MUSIC FOR A DARKENED THEATER VOL 1 (often refered to as MFADT1 or MFADT2). Back in 1991, when I found out the CD existed I desperately needed it! Unfortunately I couldn’t find it anywhere. This is how sad the world was in 1991, but when my parents went on vacation in the U.S. their first task was to get me a copy of MFADT1. And being the fantastic, supportive parents they are, they found it! Of course, a few years later the internet hit and I could have ordered it in a few minutes… But, it’s these early struggles to get this stuff that made being a fan worthwhile!
The quickest and easiest way to get the CD is at Amazon.com. Click that and it’ll take you straight to the product page.
If you prefer to order within Canada, you can get it at Chapters.ca, the website, not the store!

ParticipantYeah, I must say that the “instant accessibility” offered by the Internet sometimes makes me melancholic. I remember when I was checking every single cd of the “Film Music” section in various European stores, hoping to find the one it was impossible to get here in Belgium.
Now, a Visa, one click, one week and there you have it. Surely easier but where is the pleasure?April 3, 2006 at 1:46 am #56783chii
Participanttrue, I find hunting very fun!
