GuestWouldn’t it be cool if a calender containing pics of all the greatest composers got released? Just imagine the endless possibilities…John Williams sprawled out over a car bonnet in fluffy, pink slippers or Horner in a closet looking very innocent with one finger pressed against his lips. I’ll leave you guys to think of something for Danny. I’m staying neutral man, I don’t wanna stir things up. All the best, Mike.

GuestWhy not, we already got a GREAT series of Famous Golden Age composer stamps!

GuestI think that might be sick… what we really need is a best of Danny Elfman double Cd of some of the scores from the movies he’s worked on!!

GuestWell, Nat who likes licking the backside of Mr. Herrmann, if Janet Reno were on a stamp, would you lick *her* backside as well? LOL! I like Danny and all, but I don’t know if I’m going to get that involved
Stamps, calendars, will the commercialization never end? *Chuckles* A late-70s/early 80s pic of Danny (like the Batman album promo photo) on a calendar might sell well with the ladies…I’d prefer the red-fro-and-suspenders look, but I think I’m in the minority on that one…-E (who does not EVER want to see any 70+-year-old film composer posing seductively…especially Williams)

GuestHow about a postcard as Satan? Yeah, I’d buy a Danny-Elfman-dressed-up-as- Satan-from-Forbidden-Zone postcard.
It’d be saucy–plus, we could even put some lovely coating on the backside, so that you could lick if you really wanted to! Yes, cater to the insane; you humor the crazy person! That’s right–you know you like it!

GuestDo they still make stamps that have to be licked?

GuestAs far as I know, all of the commemorative stamps (like the Legendary Composers of Hollywood series) are all of the lickem’ and stickem’ variety.

GuestFrankly, I found my mental image of Williams looking seductive to be downright hilarious! If you could find 12 “good sports” in the filmmusic world to agree to such a thing, I think it would be a comic hit!
(Sort of like my idea years ago to have me and all my chubby friends pose shirtless with bowties and call it the Chunkendale’s Calendar.)

Guest“(Sort of like my idea years ago to have me and all my chubby friends pose shirtless with bowties and call it the Chunkendale’s Calendar.)”
LOL! Now *that’s* hilarious! For some reason, I could see James Horner doing some weird badminton setup with Kermit the Frog…don’t ask. That would make a great conversation piece at parties
I wonder if a calendar with “seductive looking” past-and-present government and elected officials would sell? Let’s see: Madeline Albright in January, Janet Reno in February, Henry Kissinger in March, Alan Greenspan in April…I’m thinking Henry Kissinger would make a smashing “May King, 2003…”-E (what she really wants for Christmas is an autographed copy of “The Forbidden Zone,” and a gigantic Elfman/Batman promo photo…and a llama…and finding out what REALLY happened to Jimmy Hoffa…and a lifetime supply of Hershey’s Kisses with Almonds)
