A few days ago I bought the Minority Report score and let me tell you, it is great. John Williams did it for my bombastic, fast-action music taste in score music.
But the thing that got my attention is the fact that when I saw the movie I didn’t notice the powerful music, even watching it twice(maybe because it was VHS).

The point is that when you get to see a Tim Burton movie, Danny’s music is like a character with it’s own personality and, I don’y know about you, but I feel great knowing that when I’m going to see a movie where Danny is around…man, I’m sure I’ll meet another character, the MUSIC.

By this I don’t mean to say that any other composers are great, the same thing happens with Alan Silvestri, have any of you hear the Mummy Returns score…ohhh!!! that is a hell of a ride. And it plays a big part of the movie itself.

    Just something a notice.

Yeah usaully when i see movies i’m never paying attention to the score, they don’t seem to have the power that a Tim and Danny movie has.It depends on directors and sound quality i guess, but, it just depends….you know when i was in first grade (when edward scissorhands came out…yeah i’m young )
I only remember two things from that movie :1.Edward scissorhands 2.Danny Elfman’s music. In all my life i have never had a movie impact me like that before (and at such a young age too.) So i guess what i’m saying is Bobby yes i agree with you when you said “Danny’s music is like a character with it’s own personality.” The two things people respond to are usually are: 1.visuals 2. music, combine those two..and you have one hell of an experience….
