I’d like to start this thread to compile all the weird and wonderful things that Danny Elfman has influenced. These are often posted to the board but I think one thread would be helpful and interesting.

To start here’s a link to samples (in Japanese) from “Italian symphonic power band” Secret Sphere’s upcoming album “Sweet Blood Theory” which is apparently a concept album influenced by Tim Burton and Danny Elfman. Check out sample #8. Kind of hilarious!

Sample #8 sort of sounds like an Elfman/ Uematsu collaboration.

Here’s a new one, Laura Rossi’s score for THE COTTAGE:

“Laura’s orchestral score for the film will remind film music aficionados of the early Danny Elfman and, of course, genre icon Bernard Herrmann.”

Here’s another group, Hour of The Shipwreck, often reviewed with a mention of Danny Elfman…

Wow, those were some beautiful songs…kinda like 90’s indie-pop, except with an added sense of melancholic melodicism. Yeah, I can see the Elfman influence there.
