ParticipantDoes anybody see any sign of influence of Camille Saint-Saens on Mr Elfman’s music? I am thinking especially of parts of Saint-Saens “Carnival of the Animals” particularly such sections as “Aquarium” and “Le Coucou au Fond du Foret” which reminded me strongly of some of the music from Edward Scissorhands and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. A comment from someone more musically learned than myself would be appreciated.

ParticipantI’m loosely familiar with ‘Carnival’ but I’d love to hear it again. Can anyone reccomend a particular recording / album as being a top-notch rendition?
