you know how the Mars Attacks! story was made? Gems the screen writer and Timbo went on gathering these ‘mars attacks!’ trading cards to make a story and never looked on the back to see that they already had a plot of their own. well, i recently bought the planet of the apes soundtrack and it came with a cute little foil card with some military apes and the film’s title on it.
without another glance it went on my wall with the nmbc and dick tracy trading cards, (none of which are very interesting. the only dick tracy cards i could recover were “sultry and seductive” with a picture of madona {ack!} or that one bum who takes in the Kid, {unidisputed erlack!} though I can remember having some fuckin’ awesome nmbc cards, [ex: one with the kid screaming as the snake eats his chrismas tree!] all i could find was one with some elves covering a chrismas tree with tiny little things and electic lights on string with the caption, “so much fun!” blah.)
today i thought i’d take a look at the back of my little card and lo-and-behold there WAS something on the back! kind of a neat little blurb i thought i’d type out for your viewing ness:
