GuestThe cue using the MIB theme WAS written by Danny — it was recorded way before the score especially for the trailer. It was reused in some of the MIB2 trailers.
BUT most of the trailers that use that piece also use a piece from DEMOLITION MAN that sounds a hell of a lot like Danny, even though it isn’t. That piece was written by Elliot Goldenthal and seems to have more in common wih BEETLEJUICE than Elfman’s MIB theme does.

Guest… the music appears in the third act when Denis Leary’s gang and the cops meet. It starts off with Stallone and Bullock walking out of a building, when the bald chief and his gang say something to the effect of, “You’re under arrest.” All I remember is the scene ends with Stallone heading for the Cryo-prison and Bullock telling the chief to “shovel it.”
That being said, I’m pretty sure that little theme appears twice in the film.
On the whole Demolition Man is a great score… one of these days, I’m going to pick it up.
And was it just me, or was that movie hilarious? Not so much a great movie, but more of a good dark comedy.
Peace Love and all that Jazz. . .
