Guestid say ed wood, but then again, Howard shore did a good job. Next thing you know we’ll be saying how we should have Elfman doing Bruckheimer productions..

GuestHey, Don Davis did a great on THE MATRIX. But I would love to hear Danny`s music in German movie. This would be very cool. Maybe he can think about it.

GuestThe Lost Boys (Scored by: Thomas Newman)
The Goonies (by: Dave Grusin)
The Nutty Professor movies (David Newman)
Austin Powers movies (George S. Clinton)
Rookie Of The Year (Bill Conti)
And all the Home Alone movies (John Williams/Nick Glennie-Smith)June 27, 2002 at 3:34 am #40521Anonymous
GuestI think Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s Stone would have done well with Elfman. I have no doubt the human chess game at the end would have been one of the highlights.

GuestThis is kinda hard, because most of my favorite movies are already scored by Danny.
I do think The Shining would have been a good one, though–you know, the real one, staring Jack Nicholson.

GuestPersonally, I love Dave Grusin’s score for The Goonies, so I wouldn’t want that changed.

GuestKnowing that Elfman can do a fabulous job with whatever material he’s given….
Penn & Teller Gets Killed (the Joke’s On Me songs would’ve been sooo much funnier if Elfman did it)
Mel Brooks’ Blazing Saddles (remember Madeline Kahn as the German showgirl? Mel Brooks is genius.)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (I’m sure Elfman could have spiced up the background music for Knights of the Round Table…but no one can beat Neil Innes with his Minstrel Songs)
Monty Python’s And Now For Something Completely Different (Monty Python always uses corny background orchestra’s to lighten up the moods for some of their skits, aside from those nasty Penis Songs sometimes sung around a French resturant.)
The first Harry Potter – I also agree he could’ve made that movie dazzle more so than now
James and the Giant Peach (Personally I hate the singing in that movie, mostly because of the Ladybug character. If Elfman made it somewhat like Nightmare…)
Alice In Wonderland (Great movie. Elfman could’ve made it better. …Darker. mwah ha ha.)
That’s all I can think of for now.
