    What’s the playlist?

I want to know what songs are on it before I buy it. ‘Cos if I do buy it, I have to buy it from HMV. ((((((((hates Amazon))))))))))

the mfadt2 album contains music from:
    -edward scissorhands (yay!),
    -delores claiborne (fine, fine),
-to die for (creepy theme with elvin guitar and avila bass),
-black beauty (a playful/heavy score for a dull pony film),
-batman returns (similar to the first one with a tragic penguin song),
-mission: impossible (marching in time to “bum, bum, bum-bum”),
-sommersby (gosh, I didn’t even notice it come in!)
-dead presidents (70s with creepy cords)
-nmbc (the overture’s heacy ending immediately followed with the chrismas montage)
-freeway (really cool guitar and attitude)
-shrunken heads (creates a vivid scene of voodoo such and such and you know richard’s done it)
-music from pee-wee’s playhouse and other tv jingles
-best of all: the original demo from this is halloween. (listen for synth tamborines during “tender
    lumplings..”)

if anyone doesn’t agree with my opinions, or if I made a mistake on the facts, please feel free to scold.

Ryan, I knew there was more to this website THAN this message board.

Please be more careful when you slap people around for coming to your site. You do want traffic, right?

I think you could have pointed out the filography without being a jerk about it.

Now I remember why I like Yak’s board better.

You always come out of the woodwork to scold, eh Pammy?

    See you around.

“Slap people around”? LOL, YEAH RIGHT! Ryan’s the most laid back “moderator” ever! :)

    . . . Oh by the way *slap*. ;)

Smacking’s pretty tame by any standard–I say there’s nothing quite like the blunt thud of an axe to the back of a skull….says one who watches perhaps too many cheesy horror flicks!

why use the blunt side when the sharp side makes such a lovely ‘impression’?

No Ryan, I don’t always come out to scold. I actually point people to your site for info quite a bit. I send them to this site probably more than I do Yak’s because you do tend to update more steadily than he does (no offense Tim).

I had actually been enjoying this board for a couple of weeks. I thought it seemed light you had lightened up quite a bit and this had become a friendlier place and that you had become a different person. I didn’t see you getting upset about people mentioning Danny’s other career. I didn’t see you getting upset over threads that veered away from the guidelines of “Danny Elfman, his scores or this site.” You seemed much more laid back.

If I mistook the tone of your “Who knew…” comment, then I am sorry. If that is the case, then my comment to you was out of line and I am sorry for that as well. I will admit that there are frequent posters here an on other boards that the same comment, I probably would have taken as light-hearted. I do remember a time when you would get upset when there was a question asked that could be answered somewhere in your site. This just seemed like one of those comments to me. I thought the link could have been given alone. I mean, when someone follows the link, it is going to be pretty obviouis that it’s part of your site.

I too get annoyed sometimes at questions that could be easily answered by just a small effort or questions that I’ve had to answer seemingly a thousand times. I’ve found that when I feel that way, I can just keep my fingers still and either someone else will chime in (as happened here) or the person asking will take the silence as a cue to do some poking around on his or her own. Which it appears that person had already done this time.

Ryan, I really do like it here more than I did back in the days of the exodus. And I don’t always mean to scold. If you took my suggestion to use a pic of the new bearless Elfman as a scolding, then again, I’m sorry. Perhaps we both judge each other harshly. That was just a suggestion since he seems to be keeping that look now.

Now as for the comments about the blue… that’s another story. I still have trouble seeing it and it does make me get tired of looking at it and I do think turning Danny all blue ruins that gorgeous red hair. I mean, blue haired people are OLD and usually ladies as well. Now if you look at the little KLAATU media logo, the blue right next to the K, that blue is easy to read. The words above it however, are not. I have to get my nose about 4 inches from the screen to see it. But thats not a scolding of you. And I will admit, the blue captures a certain Elfmood. It makes me think of a Tum Burton movie too. Since Elfman and Burton go together, I think that’s good. Still can’t read it, but it nails the atmosphere. Thank God most of the text is silver. *wink and nudge* to emphasize that I’m being lighthearted in this paragraph.

Again, I’m sorry I got snippy with you when I assumed you were snippy with BurtElfDepp.

Ya use the blunt side, because then you have to use more force for the gore factor. Granted, it’s more work–but well worth it!
