GuestAnybody watch E! entertainment channel do there show “Rank, top holiday movies of all time”? I watched it just to see what movies they thought were the greatest and to my surprise “The Nightmare Before Christmas” came in at #12!! Honestly, i wasn’t expecting it to even show much less beat out “A charlie brown Christmas” (at #15) They also talked about how Tim’s a genious and showed Danny talking about the show (swoon) That countdown made my thanksgiving holiday a little bit sweeter….
On a different subject, Anybody coming To Las Vegas for the xmas? I’m sure it would be weird to meet up with someone i’ve never even met…but…i can ask cant’I?

GuestI work in Best Buy near Washington, DC (sorry, not close enough to LA, is it?), in the Media department. That’s music, movies, videogames, and software, most of the store. A couple days ago, I brought in my Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack and played it (without permission, mua ha ha ha) all the way through over the speakers which are supposed to be playing gentle holiday music. Well, it was holiday music. But, anyway, it was louder than normal, and I got to play it all the way through! Heads turned from all over at the grandiose “I AM the Pumpkin King, HA HA HA HA!” It was really great, and I was almost rolling on the floor laughing.
The best part, however, is that we had 20 copies of the movie on DVD, and all but 3 were sold when I came back to work the next day.

GuestYou Rock Joe!!!! I used to be in charge of doing children’s xmas shows and would always play nightmare (until people started to catch on then get told to put on something else) (lol) I trained everybody in my theatre tech class last year about nmbc and so everytime i played it they would start to sing! I love making new fans of it! Spread the love man! Spread the love! (LOL)

Guest*Grins* I play NMBC for my students, regardless of the season. Lately, they’ve actually WANTED to hear “What’s This?” Lol! How funny that they’d actually ASK to hear it…

GuestSure, you can be in my class if you move to Nebraska and are either a freshman or sophomore in high school, who happens to be interested in creative writing. (I teach creative writing, and I *just* got my approval for teaching an independent study Russian literature course. Woo!)

GuestAhh to be a freshmen again, that takes me back (LOL) I took a creative writing class last year (senior year!). My teacher (as our final project) gave us an assignment to write a report on somebody who we think has influenced soceity in one way or another, and the catch was that we had to say our report as if we were that person. So after a long consideration i did my report on Tim Burton (I love danny just as much ! i swear i do! LOL) And got up in front of the class talking about all the movies he had done (etc….) I think i freaked out my class showing up in all black, with a hat on and i wore a black wig…oh wait, i did that everyday anyway (lol) It’s always cool to involve things that you love into assignments that you don’t really like…..
i’m done babbling….yeah…..
