Guestsomething funny happened to me yesterday…
well, since yesterday was my birthday i got together with my dad, nothing strange there. the thing is that a week before i was telling him the diference between a “music from and inspired by” album, and the real soundtrack for a movie… i put the example of spider-man and then i mention that i just would die to have that score… and he said, “well you know what?, im gonna give to you for your birthday”… i thought it would be one of those lazy promises parents are always making in order for their offspring to shut up.
yesterday we met and he said “mijo (sonny) i have a surprise for you” and i saw a package the size of a record, he gave it to me… i was trembling, knowing that i would finally own a copy of the spider-man score… i opened it… and to my surprise it was… it was… the “inspired by album”… even though i appeared to be happy with the gift (i could not let down my old man) in my mind i imagined god laughing histerically at me… oh the irony of it all…
whrn my dad asked “do you like it” all i could do was put a lazy smile on my face and say… it’s the wrong one… and my dad said what (it was really funny because my dad said “what” just like when they told norman osborn they were sellinfg the company) and the worst thing was that he ripped away any proof of purchase, so we couldnt return it… all those times i bathmouthed that album and i got it for my birthday… oh the irony-Alonso (she works hard fooooooor the moneyyyyy) Vences

GuestHey man, that’s good because you have the two different cuts of the two tracks. The score album has edited versions that are shorter than the ones on the inspired by album…so might as well take that THAT to heart. NOt a total loss.

GuestThat really blows, man. I wanted a pony for my birthday one year, and ended up getting socks. Does that count?
Happy Belated Birthdays to nigel and alonso…hope you had a good one, kids!

GuestHey, at least you’ve got a decent dad that gave it a shot! My dad’s a legitimate @!#$–he dosen’t even send cards. Still, I think that is a pretty cruel trick; sounds like something one of my “friends” would pull on me–intentionally, though!
And you know, you could always start a nice bonfire with the album this winter. Yeppers, toss that baby back into the firey depths of hell from which it came!
Anyways, I’ve found it wise to not try and request Danny from anyone who doesn’t know who he is–they just don’t get it, you know?June 28, 2002 at 1:55 am #40534Anonymous
Guestevil dead, will you marry me?
he, he. good thing my mom got me the right album today, so, it’s to the fire with the inspired album… such tribute will be most pleasing to my goblin… er… god

GuestHey, you lucked out after all–my mom’s a great mom, but she still would’ve got the wrong album….In the meantime, tell that sucker to burn, baby, burn!
