Guestwhile the screen name debate is riveting, i thought a nice refreshing boingo coversation would be nice. and since this is MY topic, the pod-erika must change her name before posting on it, or we shall ignore the little champion sport fisher. you know, like michael lewis (no, i kid, mike-o. i love you!)
:Ebut anyways, boingo…
where can i download mp3s of rare boingo tracks? i really want ‘yessir,’ ‘we did it there,’ ‘commando girls,’ … god, the list goes on, just someone help me!
also, i am wandering aimlessly in search of the dead man’s party video and weird science, too. (and any other shitzo you’ve got laying about.) (geez, i sound like a newtypin’ boingoloid. but you guy know me, don’t cha? the one who writes the stories and.. uh.. remains loyal..?)
so i turned this topic into a sort of plea to the invisible elders, didn’t i? well, my bestest buddy and, uh, loving mother, pammy was willing to trade for a blank tape and postage, and she said others will do the same. so anyone out there feeling generous? a little bit kind? (oh, put your hand down, michael lewis, i said ‘a little bit kind’ not ‘a beautful mind! kidding, mike-stro, you’re my heart!)
:Elexi: she sits back in her chair and stares at the screen. little does she know that there will be zero replies to this posting. “i guess the mfadpeoples just don’t succumb to begging. i guess i should be proud. still..”

GuestIf you want video footage email me at Boingo2000@aol.com and we’ll discuss the details. I have DMP and weird science among others.

GuestAlicia is an absolute goddess in the world of Boingo sharing. Jump on that offer!
Email me your list Lexi and I can file send you mp3’s as I see you online. I’ve been thinking about getting a music locker or something. Probably wouldn’t get that filled up and ready until Thanksgiving at earliest, Christmas more likely.
However, I am more than happy to zap a few at a time your way whenever I catch you online.

GuestWell, I doubt I have any “rare” Boingo stuff (although you never exactly see the stuff just laying around now, do ya?). I don’t have any video clips or any other valid stuff that other people don’t have….but here’s a list of all my Boingo c.d.s, in no particular order:
1995–Oingo Boingo Farewell: Live from the Universal Ampitheatre (two c.d.s), 1983–Oingo Boingo: Good for Your Soul, 1981–Oingo Boingo: Only a Lad, 1983–Skeletons in the Closet: The Best of Oingo Boingo, 1987–Oingo Boingo: Nothing to Fear, 1994–Boingo, 1990–Oingo Boingo: Dark at the End of the Tunnel, 1988–Oingo Boingo: Boingo Alive (two c.d.s), 1985–Oingo Boingo: Dead Man’s Party, 1984–Danny Elfman: So-Lo, 1991–Best O’ Boingo, 1987–Oingo Boingo: Boi-ngo.
If you want to know what’s on any of them, or copies of anything, just e-mail me. I’m not too technologically advanced, but I do have a c.d. burner, and as soon as I get the speakers fixed, I’ll actually be able to copy things!
Now, I don’t like to rip artists off–especially people I like. But, if you’re completely broke, or have no luck finding Boingo stuff at all, I have no problem helping anyone out. I do think just about everything I have is available at Amazon.com or one of those other shopping places….so, I’m probably not much help at all.

GuestUm…would I be able to join in the “Boingo sharing time?” I have the following:
Only a Lad; Boi-ngo; Boingo (the 94 release); Boingo Alive; Boingo Farewell; Skeletons in the Closet (on vinyl…presently being made into a CD) and Dark at the End of the Tunnel (also on vinyl, and also being made into a CD).
As far as “rare” scores: I can only offer Black Beauty – most of the other stuff, I”m guessing you all have
However, if you’re interested in nifty, 20th century WInd Band literature, I can definitely help you out with that (you want Al Reed, I’ve got a heck of a lot of his stuff). So…if it’s all cool with you who *have* the nifty Boingo stuff, might I request to share in the fun? I’ll be perfectly willing to pay for postage, CD costs, and any other incidental costs (labor costs) incurred.

Guesthttp://groups.yahoo.com/group/oingoboingo
It’s my yahoo Oingo Boingo club. Yes, you have to join to access the files. I know Lexi was having trouble getting it to work, but it usually goes w/o a hitch.
IF your membrship goes through without yahoo spazzing on you, when you’re in the club, the left top corner should read “welcome [your yahoo id].” If it reads “welcom guest,” you’re not logged in and you won’t be able to get to the files, so click “sign in” or if yahoo had a seizure, click “join this group.”
Once you’re logged in there it gets simple. There is a menu down the left side of the screen. Click FILES. Now click SOUNDS folder. Behold the 3 or 4 tracks that can fit in the folder.
Unfortunately, it looks like it only lets me upload 1 big file in a certain time frame. I swear they were there last night, but now there are only two.

Remember My NameLexi has requested Commando Girls. I will try to repost that today.
You can post requests on the message board at the club. I’m sure Ryan doesn’t wnat this place to be the Boingo request line.October 10, 2002 at 11:16 am #42449Anonymous
GuestHrm…. commando girls exceeds the file size limitation.
Lexi, make sure you add me to your AIM or Yahoo messenger list and I’ll get it to you that way.
