GuestHas anyone else out there noticed that the part of “conductor” in Brett Ratner’s “RED DRAGON” is played by none other than the legendary Lalo Schifrin ??!?!?
Weird … I guess that the link is is that Schifrin has scored Brett Ratner’s two Rush Hour movies and he’s also already been pencilled in to score part 3 as well.
Sorry this isn’t directly Danny related, but I thought I’d post it anyway as it’s an interesting piece of casting in my opinion.
Confirmation (of sorts…) here :

GuestYeah, I thought the same thing…now I wonder if Danny really is going to play the part of the “yummy” flutist?! If it’s true, and Lalo and Danny are in the same scene together, that would be cool…but also a bit odd. Hm…never thought of that.

Guest…And there is another connection with Danny and Lalo on the new CD…
(wait for the anticipation…)
…there is a track titled “Enter the Dragon” – which is the title of the Bruce Lee movie that Lalo scored that was a reason for Ratner getting Lalo to score Rush Hour…
how weird is that?
Nat who is awaiting his applause, but who only hears crickets… oh, well.

GuestAlong the same topic but not…

Marc Shaiman appears as the orchestra conductor in the ballroom scene of “The Addams Family”, for which he composed the score.
Due to my limited tolerance for gore, I will probably never see “Red Dragon,” but the sound clips I’ve heard confirm that it will be on my birthday list.
28 on Sept. 29!!! (cash is welcome: 1822 W Antler Ave., #4, Redmond, OR 97756)

GuestNice “hey my birthday’s coming up and here’s my list” reference, Brian
Happy Birthday a bit early, because I won’t remember the actual day. My birthday isn’t until…oh yeah, that’s right, I never let anybody know when my birthday is (it’s yet another of my odd little nuances). Eat lots of cake and think of Danny… (actually, I love the man and all, but I do not think of idols on my birthday…nope, I think of me and nothing else).-E (all this talk of birthdays is making me feel strangely young…and selfish…well, I’m not even 25 yet, so I’ve still got a few good years left…)
