GuestI have a copy of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas pop-up book & I’ve heard that ppl are selling it for well over $100! Is this true? Oh yeah, merry Christmas for yesterday! I got a cool 18 inch Edward Scissorhands figurine with motion-activated blades or something like that.

Please let me know, because my birthday is coming up soon, and I can put it on that list, too
Thanks!Merry, merry (even after the fact),

GuestThe pop-up book is out-of-print. Very cool, but I don’t have it

I do have the 18″ Edward, which I got at TOYS ‘R US… Somewhere I never want to go again…..

GuestToys ‘R Us…the land of small whiney children and Nerf foam playthingies…can be fun, without the small children and more plastic, light-up swords
Thanks, Ryan, for the info…-E

GuestI’d just look at http://www.spawn.com–because those are the people who made the figure and all; McFarline toys….
(I got Edward, too, and now must take it to work so that the few remaining people who think I maintain some sense of sanity will cease to be mislead)….
The stores that have it around here are Suncoast, The Game Store (clever name, huh!), and Spencer’s.

GuestErika, if you want it, then get your a** down to Cardiff & check out “Spencer’s” – it’s a shop with loads of cool toys & gadgets, including our friend Eddy. If I had enough money I’d pay for the airplane ticket, lol. Oh yeah, I also got Tim Burton’s Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy book for Xmas. It’s funny, but sad at the same time – it’s very personal. Get it if you haven’t!

GuestBah! We used to have a Spencer’s in my craphole town, but it got taken over by the OTHER “mass-produced” alternative and goth store, Hot Topic. Looks like I’ll have to a) book a plane ticket to Cardiff, and kidnap Michael L. to show me how to get to Spencer’s, along with the appropriating of his “Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy” book…or b) order it online. Hm…given the great expense of buying a plane ticket, not to mention the pesky legal technicalities involved in the proposed kidnapping of Michael L. and stealing of his property, I think I’ll go for option B…although option A sounds a helluva lot more fun *Evil grins*
-E (who really doesn’t have any sort of plan to buy a plane ticket to Cardiff and kidnap Michael L. OR steal his “Oyster Boy” book..she doesn’t have the $$ or the determination…at least not right now…)
