I have just received the Decca e-newsletter and it contained the following MINI preview regarding info on Red Dragon :

The movie is based on the 1981 novel by Thomas Harris in which he first introduces the serial killer Hannibal Lecter, and is the prequel to the box office hits Silence Of The Lambs and Hannibal. The soundtrack marks a return to the atmospheric suspense of Silence Of The Lambs. With the score by Danny Elfman, whose recent successes include the scores for both Spiderman and Planet of the Apes.”Nothing in there that we don’t already know of course, but I thought I’d post it anyway.
