So, I was searching for Danny interviews and I found this:

Heh, I know this is a silly topic, but with the lack of news lately…
Take one guitar-playing director, add orchestrators, simmer on a gentle heat of sequencers, serve with flamenco garnish and a dash of deja vu. Ah well, better than a pop song score. :o)
Y’see, for some reason I always get defensive about Robert Rodriguez.
Personally, I enjoy his scores, I thought the action cues in Spy Kids 3D were pretty shweet, and I liked what he did for Once Upon a Time in Mexico, even though I’ve not actually seen the flick yet.
But sod it, we’re here to talk about Elfman. He rocks.
