Guestrandom thought: just noticed a similarity between the middle of “edwardo the barber” and the end of flubber’s “it’s alive”.

GuestWell to quote my musician (ignorant) friends. ‘All his stuff is recycled from his other stuff’
I just tell them to kiss my A.. I love his musicJanuary 3, 2003 at 6:48 pm #43595Anonymous
GuestTo Jimmy,
To call a musician ignorant is the most ignorant thing I’ve ever heard. Of course if your not a musician then I could expect that kind of statement. No need to be an A-hole about it……yes Elfman’s work is all very similar, otherwise he would not be the award winning composer he is. Its called “style” ….maybe if you had your own you’de recognize what it means, which is obviously not the case.January 4, 2003 at 8:19 am #43612Anonymous
GuestWell, if they want to complain about Danny’s stuff sounding similar, then we can go there with any composer or rock star. We can start with John Williams and Danny Elfman and go on to any other musician in history. Besides, that’s not exclusive to music even. You find something that works in any profession, and you stick with it. Call it “recycling”, a “formula”, variations on a theme…whatever, it’s just what happens. See if they want to pick on anyone else besides Danny.
