ParticipantVery cool film score site Soundtrack.net has just started their own Podcast (for those who don’t know, me very recently included, it’s like a short radio show in mp3 format that you can just put on your portable device or computer to listen to for news, music, etc.) The first broadcast features what I’m pretty sure is part of the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory score. The announcer doesn’t specifically say that it’s that playing, but it seems hinted to me that it’s it, plus the fact that it sounds like a Danny Elfman score. The Charlie section is from 6:39 to 7:25, and if that’s not Danny Elfman, then the summer is getting to me. It’s especially aparrent towards the end of the clip. It sounds to me like a mix between “Men in Black” and “Batman Returns.” Link below directly to the Podcast file:

ParticipantYeah, it’s the main theme of the film, the Factory’s theme…I love it.

ParticipantNewest Podcast: They talk about Charlie, with samples!!! Aparrently the End Credits Suite is 7 minutes long and consists of music-only versions of the songs. Listen for more details and reviews.

ParticipantGood news for the End Credits suite but I hope the cd contains the main cues, ’cause if I had to choose I wouldn’t have use thoses 7 minutes for the that (it’s just the same without the lyrics, I was a bit disappointed when I heard it). I’m pretty sure the “Wonka Bar around the World” for example won’t be in there and that’s sad…
But I can be completely wrong about this. I just have to wait one more day normally…
