Well, now the imdb has Danny listed as the composer of this re-make. After the potential Tim Burton has now opted for (thank God) BIG FISH.

Anyway, they have Frank Oz listed as director. If this does indeed happen – I would like to see that! I beleive some time ago we had a director wish list. I think Frank Oz would go well with Danny, and esspecially this one.

I guess we will wait and see….

Frank Oz and Danny?? I’m not saying it’s not true; but I AM saying I can’t see what would make you want to see Oz and Elfman work together. Frank Oz has always done fluff so far, with “What About Bob?”, “In & Out,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “Indian in the Cupboard,” “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,” “Housesitter,” and “Bowfinger.” Those are just not films I think of when I think of films Elfman should have composed.

“The Stepford Wives” is obviously a marked departure for Oz, so perhaps in this case such a pairing might work.

Fluff? Maybe, maybe not. But rather popular fluff wouldn’t you say. I rather like some of his stuff, and think that a pairing between them would work rather well. Especially this one. If it’s true….

    Ump (2002)
    Score, The (2001)
    Bowfinger (1999)
    In & Out (1997)
Indian in the Cupboard, The (1995)
    HouseSitter (1992)
    What About Bob? (1991)
    Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988)
    Little Shop of Horrors (1986)
    Muppets Take Manhattan, The (1984)
Fantastic Miss Piggy Show, The (1982) (TV)
    Dark Crystal, The (1982)
