Now THE Movie Is OUT and getting rave reviews. But what do you guys think about it? Is it better or worse than Lambs or Hannibal?
MY OPINION: Better than the others and should be the last.
SPOILERS:
Not as goos as SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, but much better than HANNIBAL.
SILENCE was made with such a strong sence of empathy, and never really goes overboard (unlike HANNIBAL) RED DRAGON gets the human aspect down perfectly – Rattner really surprised me. His eye to detail was strong and the acting was exceptional in the following:
* When Will Grahamm chokes up while describing the murders of the children, stopping his recorder, and finishing.
* Grahmm looking at the family eating dinner togther.
* Not revealing Ralph Finnes face untill he enters the dark room of the photo lab.
* Every scene with Emily Watson and Finnes. They make the movie, Anthony Hopkins is simply the frosting on the cake!
* In the climax when Grahmm sees his child wet his pants, and uses what he knows about Finnes to yell at his own child to save him.
