InactiveIn the Charlie and The Chocolate Factory Trailer, what is the song that is played nearer the end? Is it one of Elfmans works? If so, what is it from? That song just sounds so cool.
Note: The trailer I’m referencing can be found here: http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/charliechocolatefactory/

ParticipantThis has been debated quite a bit… not only here, but all over the place.
First off, no, it’s not Danny. The first half of the trailer is, the second half isn’t.
Secondly, it’s reported to be James Newton Howard for his work on the movie Peter Pan.
Third, you won’t find it on the OST, as it is not a track that is on there… but possibly somewhere in the movie. Who knows, it could even be from a cue that was never released either in the film, or on the soundtrack.
If you happen to find it, by all means, please post a link.

InactiveI checked the Peter Pan soundtrack, and I think it sounds similar to the ‘Flying’ track. Maybe it is another version of it.
Does anybody know how we could contact either Warner Bros. or JNH to see what it is?

InactiveI emailed soundtrack.net (since they have it listed that the track is from Peter Pan), and here is the response I got:
“My information came from the music editor on the trailers for
CHARLIE, and they said it came from PETER PAN. There was a LOT of music
NOT on the soundtrack, and I would imagine that the music in question
was unreleased. (They tend to have access to things that we consumers
don’t!)Regards,
Dan”So maybe we should try contacting the guys that made that movie…

ParticipantBy all means, sure. That’s pretty much what I thought as it is… if you’re successful in anyway, please be sure to list your success here as I know there are many people interested in having that piece of music in their collection.
Thanks.

ParticipantWho’s going to sit through the entirety of that debacle of a movie to find that music? I’m sorry I really hated that movie. JNH was the only thing that kept me interested in the time I had to spend watching Jeremy Sumpter lisp through the entire film in the title role.
