i had posted in hopes just to find out whether the seller of my card had improperly stored the card which i purchased. i purchased an autographed/signed christmas card by danny elfman for my brother as a christmas gift. however, upon opening it, i noticed (because my husband used to smoke cigarettes and now i can’t stand the smell.. no offense to those you do smoke) that it smelt of cigarette smoke. i was just trying to confirm if it had come from mr elfman himself or if i needed to contact the seller in regards to the situation. i didn’t mean to start a bunch of speculation or what not. i just wanted to know plain in simple whether or not he smokes cigarettes or if anybody knew. thanks.
It doesn’t matter to me what he does. He writes some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard, so who cares what he does in his private life? I am sorry that you got a stinky christmas card, but it was most likley the last person who had it. I don’t think Mr. Elfman would have sat in front of it smoking for a very long time, and that is they only way that I think it may have gotten that way.
