Why did you guys ignore my last post? Clearly the truth hurts.
Or maybe it’s a stupid argument to have and especially off-topic and inconsequential on a message board devoted to not James Horner but Danny Elfman.
Excuse me, but this is a free country with freedom of speech. I don’t see a message saying that it’s illegal for non – Danny Elfman fans, which I’m not, to enter.
I don’t come to this board to legitimize other composers’ work.

I wasn’t debating your freedoms. I was stating the fact that maybe no one really cared enough about your off topic statement to dignify it with a response. I really don’t think anyone thought the “truth hurts”. I like Horner and would defend him if I were called to it, but I didn’t respond because I felt it was a stupid topic, especially for an Elfman board. No need to be ultra-vehement in your OPINIONS.

By the way, Mike, if this was my site, i could give a pig’s ass what you put on here, so as long as it keeps people coming back for more…but it’s RYan’s site, and i don’t really know if he approves of this kind of banter.

This Horner debate is useless. Really. I headed over to the “James Horner Shrine” (nice design, if it’s 1994) and saw that Michael Lewis posts there all the time. Michael, if what you get isn’t enough from that site, I suggest over venues. But frankly, this board isn’t one of them. James Horner really doesn’t mean much to the average Elfman fan.
Your attempts to incite people seems to have fizzled. I’m glad you like Danny Elfman, and I appreciate you frequenting the board with your comments on Danny Elfman related topics — but let’s keep it at that, and enjoy ourselves.

Yes, I know what that says, but I just had to bring it up again because a person posted a message on this site saying that Horner thought film composing was just a job. If I went around correcting all the misconceptions about myself – and didn’t even bother with correcting those regarding Elfman – I would have even less of a life than I do now. I just don’t give a flying ****, and have learned to not let it bother me.
These immature arguments are really starting to annoy me, so I’m going to stop feeding the machine and do something productive.

If we could post anything we wanted here, if it pertainted to Danny or not, then I suppose I could rant about my dog every single day–but I dont’ think anyone wants that.
Besides, it’d just look silly to have the Danny Elfman banner and site pictures up when nothing discussed is even remotely related to him in any way. Then again, I was never much one for logic….
