GuestI was wondering if anyone here has any sites or work they have put up regarding music. If you can’t post it on here just e-mail me:
I was hoping that some of you guys may be able to show a cool site you may have showing some of your own works.

GuestWell, I compose some music, and beeing a huge Elfman fan, the music is a lot elfmanish-inspired… I play also some personnal piano improvisations and arrangements of various film scores. Here’s the web link:

and click on “MY MUSIC”
I’m waitin’ for other people to show their work. I’m curious…

GuestMr. Dantz
Did you really make all your stuff with Korg M1 and Soundfonts. Quite amazing results I have to say. Do you have some links in the internet to those soundfonts you use. If you do, could you post them here or directly to my email?

GuestThanks, Zuippis. I get all of my soundfonts here: http://www.thesoundsite.net
I use the StringsFlorestanMartellato, StringsCadenza, FrenchHornFlorestan amongst many others.

Thanks!

GuestWord of caution: There is ALOT of really, really bad soundfonts on there, you really have to go through alot to find the good ones. Best of luck.

GuestKnight,
Unfortunately you are absolutely right. Luckily I’ve found couple of excellent soundfonts and a few decent ones. The majority of all I’ve downloaded has been totally useless.
Mr. Dantz,
What are the brass sounds you used in Ditto.mp3?
Overall I’m positively surprised that there really exists useful sounfonts. Until now I’ve worked using synthesizer sounds only and I’ve thought that soundfonts are more or less semipro/useless staff. It’s pretty complicated to make bigger arrangements with synthesizers polyphony capasity. At least when using quality sounds (which usually are combis and rob the polyphony). The soundfonts really makes things more practical.

GuestIf you have some cash, make a giga system and you will get the best reproduction, really close to the real thing. But anyhow, the reason why so many of those Soundfonts suck is because they are all free, recorded by college students in thier spare time, with cheap mikes, in mono, and horrible room ambience. If you acually checked out some of the professional ones, they sound pretty good. I recommend http://www.sonicimplants.com , and while your there, listen to the demos of thier Symphonic Strings Collection for Gigastudio, they are friggan unbelieveable.
Knight (Then again, my friend can get awesome sounds out of whatever he has to work with, so maybe it just has to do with the acual music you write)
P.S. Mr. Dantz – Did I hear some of Elfman’s samples in that Metroid piece? I am positive that they where from POTA.
