Looks like a new EDWARD SCISSORHANDS Blu-Ray disc is on the horizon (October release), with fully restored audio, per here:

    http://audiomechanics.com/2015/02/10/edward-scissorhands/

“Audio Mechanics was asked by 20th Century Fox to update the audio for a new Digital Cinema Package (DCP) being made for Tim Burton’s 1990 release, Edward Scissorhands. The original 35mm mag LCRS D-M-E stems were digitally captured (and preserved) then analog noise removed from each track and finally re-mastered to make the restored LCRS soundtrack. The result was well worth the effort as the presence of the dialogue and the hauntingly beautiful Danny Elfman score were markedly well defined.”

Looks like Elfman’s commentary will be ported over from the DVD.

I wonder if this all ties in with what ddddeee posted earlier this year about a remastered (or expanded?) EDWARD SCISSORHANDS soundtrack:
