alexandre desplat, for “the king’s speech”

and hans zimmer for “inception”it’s elfman’s first globe nomination since 2003’s “big fish,” and he was nominated only one other time, for 1993’s “the nightmare before christmas.”

Could he even get an Oscar nod?

December 27, 2010 at 7:10 am #66605evil-deadParticipantSo not to get too nerdy here but, has any one else ever noticed the similarity in it’s most basic form of alice’s theme and black beauty main titles? i might be generalizing the whole i-IV-i chord progression thing, but is the melody similar to anyone else’s ears? just wondering, because I always hear it…
December 28, 2010 at 5:53 am #66607Spider-FanParticipantCongrats to Danny for the recognition, but John Powell’s “How to Train Your Dragon” got no love? That was one of my favorites this year.
