Does anyone ever hear an Elfman track and think it vaguely sounds like another Elfman track? just curious. Every time I hear “the cat is dead” from little demons i hear “Securing the Bike” from Pee Wee. Anyone else ever hear this or am I just nuts? I’m not saying he’s a Horner or anything, I just hear harmonic similarities pop up occasionally.

November 4, 2009 at 9:05 pm #64718TorqueParticipantI’d not say that I heard exactly similarities between Elfman tracks for sure. Just can’t remember for now.
Buuut here comes the totally same moment between Newton Howard’s “Prologue” (Lady in the Water) and Elfman’s “A Dilemma” (Hellboy 2).November 5, 2009 at 12:34 am #64719Spider-FanParticipantI thought the same thing when I heard that. Other comparisons I remember include “Into the Forest” from “Corpse Bride” and the main theme from MEET THE ROBINSONS, and “Train Time” from “Mission: Impossible” and many tracks from “Planet of the Apes”.
