GuestSpeaking of the Spidey 2 Score, it appears DeepDiscountCD.com has the CD available.

GuestSorry couldn’t resist: http://www.bluntinstrument.org.uk/elfman/filmography/spiderman2/index.html has a few decent quality clips from the album. Please download rather than attempt to stream. But not too much…

GuestI got the cd today…
So far, I’m a little dissapointed especially by the “Train” track; but I only heard the score twice…

GuestAnybody in the US got it yet? I’m not even sure how fast that premium shipping at Sony is worth…

GuestYeah, I just got it yesterday in a used CD store here in LA. The CD is good, but not as good a listen as the first CD was. It doesn’t have the same narrative cohesiveness, you know? The album is a little aimless until track 10 (‘Train / Appreciation’) starts up. It’s a great cue and tis quite a shame that it wasn’t included in the movie. Same goes for ‘Aunt Mae Packs.’ Tracks 10 – 14 are where it’s at for this CD.

GuestDamn…You people out in LA got all the luck…****, man i’m gonna have to get my white ass back out West if i wanna get the real deal…Meantime, Sony better be lickety-split with their shipping methods…Congratulations…

GuestYeah, sorry. If it makes you feel any better, much of the ‘Spidey Suite’ on the already available song CD is made up of bits from the unreleased ‘Train’ cue.

GuestI have to agree with John.
I’m reevaluating the Train track. The first time I listened to it, it was 2:00 am and I couldn’t play it loud. The track is impressive indeed, especially in its third minute (presumably when Peter stops the train).
Nonetheless, before that, the cd is not as coherent as the first one. Sure, there are nice moments but the problem is that it seems that Danny really composed for the images in this one – he always does, but here we really need the images to know what he’s trying to express in his cues. Unfortunately, sometimes we don’t have those images since some parts of the music are not in the film…July 25, 2004 at 12:50 pm #51543Anonymous
Guestoh so it’s broken…Like i heard the clips and Dock Ock’s birth is represented, but i guess the next track Angry Arms – is when he’s back at his lab talking to himself? I heard track 2 and it’s a mixture of when Peter’s at the theater waiting for MJ and the spidus interruptus portion actually sounds better on cd than it does in the film…Yeah, Well, Spider-Man 1 was broken, too…well, sorta.
