    When I called up Danny Elfman on a Friday afternoon and asked what I was pulling him away from, he implored me not to laugh. ā€œA violin concerto,ā€ he saidā€”which didnā€™t seem particularly laughableā€”and then, after a pause: ā€œAnd the soundtrack to Fifty Shades Darker.ā€

    This was announced in April… and it’s great news!

    I love the score for the first and cannot wait to hear what he does with this one. Seems likely he’ll score the third too.

    I love that Elfman’s in a completely inexplicable ‘s ex thriller’ phase.
