I’ve read many magazine-article-length bios of Danny Elfman, but my older brother and I are just curious to know if anyone anywhere has written a full book-length “authorized” biography of the man.
Anyone know anything?

Tee hee. To quote an old interview of Danny’s (1995) …
“No, there’s not gonna be a book. There won’t be a Nintendo game, either. No goddamn book for me. I’ ve got nothing to say in a book; it would be the shortest book ever written. Half a page long. Nothing interesting to say.”
For some reason I don’t believe that last sentence…
But he gets really animated about topics like that. Try asking him about if Boingo will ever get in the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame and would they take it if they were offered it. He said “I’m glad we will never be big enough to be in the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame…” But what if they were offered? His reply–“@!#$ that.” (1994)
