GuestBoy, are you in for a treat! Oingo Boingo are simply the best band in the world! Okay, now we’ve established that…albums… Well, my first introduction to Oingo Boingo was the self-titled Boingo and Dark @ the End of the Tunnel albums, which is quite strange because you don’t immediately associate OB with those two albums. Their earlier albums, such Only a Lad, Nothing to Fear, etcetera, are more kind of…how should I put it? Pure craziness! At first you’ll probably think “what the **** (fudge)?!”, but that’s only because they are so weird and different. You can buy all their albums from Amazon.
My favourite Oingo Boingo songs:
Insanity
Out of Control
Nothing to Fear

GuestYou should go with “Boingo” and “Good For Your Soul”. Both are the best of both worlds, in my opinion. Boingo is by far their best album, and Insanity is one of the best songs ever written. The lyrics are just amazing!

GuestI prefer their more musically wacky, earlier efforts. All 3 of their A&M records (Only A Lad, Nothing to Fear, & Good for Your Soul) are essential for any good music fan. There is no other band that sounds like them on these albums. Elfman’s voice and the instrumentations are incredibly original.

GuestWhat a flash back. I saw spider-man 2 and thought of my old day’s slam dancing at the hollywood palladium to Boingo. Nothing to Fear was the best song in the pit, the highs and low’s.
The best album was the EP – I’m so Bad part of the lyric “I was born inside a cage, never knew anything but rage:” How about Aint this the life. “havin a party on a big jet plane, I got so drunk that I could feel no pain.
I saw Boingo in 1984 at Saint John Bosco High School for a Christmas Dance, the palladium many times, Long Beach, SDSU. You name it. They were the best. Danny used to wear a tank top and get in good shape and it got crazy.
I’m glad to see he is such a huge success. I’m sure he doesn’t mind being the rebel to the hollywood music crowd.
Perhaps, Danny was bad even as a child everybody could tell…And when he stole the awards..just a prankster a juvenile gangster…. A very poor too early in the morning tribute to Only a Lad.
How many remember the punk gang known as the L.A. Lad’s? If you ever saw repo man you remember the old Suicidal Tendancies followers. The boingo followers named themselves the Lad’s

GuestI take that back the best song in the Pit was Sweat. Covered with Sweat. Smiling at the times going down to T.J. to drink when I was only 18 and partying. I just dug up an old 1984 boingo T shirt and 1986 New Years Eve t-shirt. The best of the best was Halloween. My friend Dressed as Pennywise from Stephen Kings Book and partied in the Orchestra Pit at Irvine Meadows.
