Brett Ratner has a new film coming out in November called “After the Sunset,” starring Pierce Brosnan. It’s an action comedy about a retired spy who settles down on an island, only to have his arch foe return for more. It has a big crew currently attached to it, but according to IMDb, no composer. Danny has composed 2 movies for Brett Ratner (Family Man and Red Dragon), could he be signed on for another?
It makes sense — at least if you look at Elfman’s availability. After SPIDER-MAN 2, no projects lined up (CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY is a long ways away).

Maybe he’s going to take a little break … And start a solo album. hehe.
Or work on releasing MFADT vol.3. It WOULD be an investment in time…

Hey – he’s just married someone! Give him a chance… maybe that break is in order, for him & Bridget to, ya know……
oh, sorry, didn’t see that post. I guess I’m more popular!!! just kidding. It does add up, though, he could fit it into his schedule, and I think that it’s right around his genre of scoring.
