GuestHia All
Wierd Al did a style based parody of opingo Boingo on his album “Even Worse”. It’s pretty funny, the song is called “You Make”. This is STYLE based song not an actual parody of words.
Go here to check it out ….

GuestWhere did you find this out?

GuestIn case people who don’t know Al don’t know, most of Weird Al’s original songs(that’s right, he writes original songs) get inspiration from other bands/artists. He’s “Style” parodied The Monkees, They Might be Giants, Nirvana, and many others. Included in the style parodying was Oingo Boingo with the song, “You Make Me”. This is common knowledge to the normal Weird Al fan, so it’s not really any kind of secret(plus the song just sounds like a Boingo song).
Oingo Boingo is also one of Weird Al’s favorite bands and somewhere on his site there’s a picture of his drummer with Oingo Boingo’s drummer.July 10, 2004 at 7:18 pm #51143Anonymous
GuestI can honestly say that Al is one of my heroes – no ****, really. Do you think the music industry realized that there was a specific, very profitable niche for an accordian playing parodist? More than that, do you think anyone ever figured that he’d still be relevant and, more importantly, really funny 20 years into the game? Nope.
And besides, he made “UHF”. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Burt (except possibly for the mustache episode of “The Tick”. That was capital gold.)

GuestI love UFH .. i just bought the DvD it’s awesome . And I found out this info from his official website and if you just listen to it the pitched perc. and guitar it sounds like O.B. stuff. I love Al , I’m going to see him at Convention Hall this summer. Did you all hear about his parents? They died from carbon-monoxide poisoning , sad isn’t it?

GuestI like that song, its very Nothing To Fear-era-esque, especially with the guitar solo
