GuestHas anyone seen pics of the new batmobile, for batman 5? I haven’t, but a friend of mine who has, says it looks like a 4×4 drag racer, with a HUUUUGE afterburner! …do I get the feeling that people are simply continuing to piss (that’s p-i-s-s, incase the forum censored it) on what should be the GREAT batman franchise?

GuestThanks for that link, Steph…
EUGH! That is nowhere NEAR a batmobile! Yuck yuck yuck! I can’t believe they’ve come up with such a piece of crap like that! Despite this, Christian Bale seems to be a perhaps close to reasonable choice for Batman. His face & mannerisms will probably lend themselves quite well to the enigmatic Mr. Wayne thing… I still think Michael Keaton’s the best (and Val Kilmer’s actually an extremely close second best, for me).

GuestSoz, I posted that as “fart”, after some other post I did – forget about that one

GuestI like it – looks very “Dark Knight Returns” or “Year One” to me.

GuestThat thing looks so stupid.

GuestThis is laughably absurd, the thing looks like a GI Joe tank. This must be a joke.

GuestNothing to do with the Batmobile: Christian Bale plays Batman! Given the fact that I’ve now typecast him as Patrick Bateman (and a very sinister Laurie (sp?) in “Little Women”), I think he’ll bring a lot of the “darkness” back to the Batman character. Whaddya say?

GuestHoly mother of god… that thing is retarded.
What… is Batman going all terrain or something in this version? At least Burton had a sense of style.

GuestE – you’re right, Christian Bale will be good. And everyone else (Maybe except for Lone some Cowboy :o) ), you’re right – that Batmobile is a pile of…

GuestI’ve also heard that Michael Caine will be Alfred… I don’t see why they couldn’t use Michael Gough again – I can’t think of anyone else who fits the part like he does.

GuestIt shall piss indeed, my good sir. It is nowhere near the excellence of Batman or Batman Returns. They will never be better than those two.

Guestit probably will be.

GuestI thought it looked like Frank Miller’s version of the batmobile, as well. More of a tank, and less of a car.

Guest“I thought it looked like Frank Miller’s version of the batmobile, as well. More of a tank, and less of a car.”
Yeah! There’s no guarantee that this movie will be any good, but using Frank Miller, writer and artist of what is usually called the single best Batman story ever, for reference means they’re off to a good start.

GuestYup. Especially since Tim Burton used him as a reference as well! (Here’s hoping for the best–but I’m not holding my breath. Figure I don’t know much about the new Batman movie–but it’d be horrible if it turned out crappy. Really, really horrible).

GuestSounds like you’re all as worried as I am then…

GuestI completely agree with you. Michael Gough was perfect. I will miss him.
