GuestThe scene in NMBC where Jack asks the street band to play jingle bells – They’re counted in by a face on the double bass with that red hair and those thick black glasses. He also had real goofy teeth – not so Danny, but this could just be Danny – halloween edition.
Well, If that face isn’t supposed to be Danny Elfman, I would… er… I dunno. Disagree, probably…
Anyone else notice this? (I bet it’s EVERYONE, now!)

Guesteh…maybe you should go into the grocery store – maybe you’ll find Elfman on a box of cereal.

GuestSeriously, I think the whole looking-for-Elfman cameos thing in films (besides “The Gift”) is overrated. Love the man for his music, not his sketchy cameos.

GuestYeah, because it’s dumb to talk about Danny Elfman-related things on a Danny Elfman message board.

GuestI thought I saw a cameo of Danny Elfman or Henry Selick in NmBC when Jack is saying, “listen everyone!” The Behemoth sits down and behind is a pew where Death (a.k.a. the Grim Reaper) and a human character in a cloak sits. Anyone know who this is? I don’t think the guy in the bass is Danny, and I don’t look for cameos of him or anyone. But I want to know the identity of the guy in the Town Meeting seen sitting by Death. Anyone know?

GuestI too have noticed this before (The J’s Observation). I personally think that it IS a representation of Danny. Hey, why not? The children playing ice hockey with the pumpkin at the end of the film, were originally playing with the severed head of Mr. Tim Burton (as mentioned in the DVD special features, somewhere). If Tim had a cameo, why not his collaborator, Danny.

GuestHey, what’s with the rude responses!? T Weed – I’ve noticed a pattern of flippancy in way too many of your posts.
Anyway, I don’t LOOK for these cameos… if I happen to spot something, of course I’ll mention it. Jeez…

GuestThe person in NMBC next to Death looks a little like a woman to me, but it’s hard to tell. I remember someone posting a message here a while back asking if that character was actually the witch from Snow White (“She’s even got the apple”).

GuestAhhhh, I remember that.

GuestI’d like to mention Danny’s cameo in The Gift. When I first saw the movie, I expected that scene to be very light and magical and such. Then, when the fiddle starts playing that scary tune, I was kinda scared. When they had that close up with the scary music, it really sent shills down my spine. By the way, The Gift was a brilliant movie that I hadn’t even heard of until about a year or so ago.

GuestHahah…flippancy…Man, if i told you, the result would be the same, so it’s rather inconsequential. .

GuestYeah it does look a bit like a woman. And it doesn’t have the glasses Henry or Danny wear. But still, I’m curious. There are also other characters when Jack is standing on the fountain looking down at the crowd at the end of This is Halloween. I saw other characters that are only in one shot, including something that looked like a Garden Gnome!

GuestI was noticing that the head in the bass had red hair, but I haven’t noticed any glasses…I’ll have to watch that scene again.
I love it when small things like this pop up.~Leccathu

GuestSpider-Fan, I saw the GIft for the first time a couple of days ago and it *is* a good movie!
I think I read, or heard somewhere that was originally a speaking part, as well, for Elfman, but he was so appalled with his acting, he begged them to cut the lines.
Still, kinda fun to see.-beth
