GuestIs anyone in London on December 11th? I’ve got a piece of mine being performed in Vauxhall if anyone’s interested? (Damn, it’ll be embarassing if this gets no replies)… I guess most of you are in America, right? Well, if you’re interested, let me know!

Guestsounds great. I live in London too. I’m an american exchange student and would love too get to know you. I love musicians. I have such a huge crush on Danny and would love to meet a guy who is into his music too. What do you look like? I’m 5′- 7″ . With a very slender body. I am also very shy. Cynthia

GuestErrr, well, that’s a little more sexually charged than I was hoping for, Cynthia… I don’t want to know what your body’s like, I’m just wondering if someone’s interested in seeing one of my pieces performed… not if they’d like to “know me better”! |:os

GuestHa! Don’t buy into it J, “she”s really a 44 year old bald male virgin from Arkansas. It’s the internet, man – practise scepticism.

GuestUh…I concur. This is a DISCUSSION board, not an internet personals page. Cynthia – if you fancy musicians, here’s a tip: go to shows (i.e. rock concerts), coffee houses, orchestral concerts, etc. Heck, pick one particular band – or orchestral section – and become a groupie (if you’re that desperate). All musicians, let’s face it: we love having our egos stroked.
-E (who is that bald, 44-year-old male virgin from Arkansas *weeps uncontrollably* You’ve found me out! I do play kazoo *with a hopeful gleam in red-rimmed eyes, I trundle into kitchen to self-medicate by consuming an entire box of uncooked, Kraft Macaroni-and-Cheese)

GuestWell, the ensemble is very eclectic… people from VERY widely ranging musical backgrounds – we’ve got a small string section (about 8-12 people), 4 piece brass section, 4-5 peice w-wind, 2 perc., guitar, bass guitar. Maybe more, but I can’t remember right now. The WHOLE programme is world premieres. Every single piece writte for the ensemble, every one performed first time on December 11th.
…so, anyone wanna come?

Guest…oh, and as for the type of music: There’s a calypso, an RnB thing, some contemporary stuff, a classical piece, mine’s kinda filmy sounding, there’s about three jazz numbers, a ballad – plenty of stuff… There’s bound to be something you like!

GuestI’m stuck in Canada, J, but if the concert is being recorded, I’d happily buy a copy off of you. It sounds really cool.

GuestYeah, J, I”ll echo Burt’s comments. I’d love to have a copy of the performance and I”ll gladly pay for such pleasure.

You know what I meant…I hope. )November 24, 2003 at 8:22 pm #46900Anonymous
GuestHehe…
Well, there will be an audio recording of all the pieces… but I’m afraid that only members of the group are allowed a physical copy of it, as the recordings we make are purely for archival purposes. However, I do have rights on my own music. I can publish my music, and ONLY mine, so I can’t distribute the whole thing, I’m afraid. But, I’d happily put my stuff up for you guys – Perhaps if I ask Ryan reeeeally nicely, he’d kindly put it up as a stream on this site for everyone to listen to… Would that be good? And thankyou for your interest, everyone… it’s much appreciated!
