Participant“Due to all the skill sets available today — from animal trainers to digital, prosthetic and mechanical effects — we were able to pull off Dahl’s squirrel scene for the first time,” Davis says. “We had hundreds of live squirrels running around the (sealed off) set. Nobody was bitten, but it was a bit creepy. Squirrels are quite scary; they’ve got a wild energy. They’re not like rats, they’re electric — almost like birds.”
Awwww . . . I feel validated now. I remember when someone I know came back from London and told me all about those squirrels . . . and now I “know” them and they are really scary.
