I don’t remember if this has been discussed or not, but I just read in the Tim Burton Collective site that Burton will be doing the Batman stage musical with Jim Steinman. This creeps me out a bit, since I’m really not into the Steinman style of screaming and punching pianos like there’s no tomorrow. It seems that Danny Elfman is not attached to this project, and that’s a shame. Any of you knows if this is really going to happen?
In other (better) news, just saw this weekend a photo from the “Big Fish” set, showing Ewan McGregor carrying a big dog. It doesn’t show much, but at least it shows that it is happening – and I’m pretty sure it will be a wonderful film. Those of you who don’t know the Daniel Wallace book, please buy it and read it – you won’t regret it. Besides, you’ll read it quickly – it’s short and sweet. I actually found it to be too short… I wanted more! And you’ll see that it makes perfect sense that Burton is directing the movie.Nuno Markl
